The following is a synopsis and general guideline for membership to the Federation Nation of New Jersey

The Federation Nation of New Jersey has a new approach to the Tournament circuit and the selection of Boaters and riders for the 2006 years and beyond. It is a format similar to the Pro/Am style in the fact that Boaters will be competing against Boaters through the Tournament Trail held in our State. Each division will have their own separate payout based on participants. Riders will have the same.

At the end of the year on the points Tournament Trail, the Top three boaters will make the Divisional and the Top three riders get to move on. This is an opportunity that riders can enjoy and feel confident that they have a road to the Divisional and not forgotten. The qualifying will be different at the Team event. This is where it is unique in the fact that the entire winning Top Team at the Team Tournament would make the Divisional. Their reward for working together as a Team . Alternates will be selected from the boater side of the point circuit with the higher point person having preference. Altogether twelve men go, six on the boaters side and six on the rider side. The number one point leader of the point circuit at the end of the year would be the Team Captain. The alternates would be selected from the fourth and fifth place boater side of the points circuit. This will ensure that in the event of a boater not being able to make it that we have an ample supply to handle any situation.

The Team  Tournaments Top Club Team would qualify to be able to advance to the BASS Club World Championship. This is new for the 2007 year and in addition to the existing Divisional Tournament which can be the "Road to the Classic".

When you have read all of the rules and bylaws you will see that a Club must have a minimum of six men to be considered an affiliate Club. You must hold regular meetings and hold Club events in order to qualify. If you have to combine Clubs then that is what you would have to do. Special considerations may be available based on the Boards decision. That will be done depending on the membership numbers and participation levels.

All of our rules for Tournaments are basically standard but there have been changes to a few. Make sure you read them all so there will be no mistakes if you are fishing an event.

In the event members of any Club that chose not to affiliate and has members that wish to participate. there will be an Open Club available so that you may participate in any scheduled event. That Club will be called our "Independent Club". During that time non affiliated members have to actively seek a Club for membership. Members of that Club "if the Board deems appropriate", will be able to use their points for qualifying for the regular points Tournament Trail. They would of course have to participate in all of the States events.
